Loctite and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.: Chasing the NASCAR Checkered Flag

    February 19, 2015

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., driver the the Loctite sponsored Fastenal team. The 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is underway, and once again Loctite is delighted to be a sponsor of Fastenal, represented this year by driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in the No. 17 Fastenal Ford Fusion.

Loctite’s partnership with Fastenal is now in its fifth year, both in the Nationwide Racing Series and now in Sprint Cup action. Much of that time, the team was headed by driver Carl Edwards, who won 23 Sprint Cup races, and had 190 top-ten finishes.

But now we are looking forward to a new era, featuring in Stenhouse a decorated driver who has been racing since he was six years old. The Mississippi native graduated from go-karts to winged sprint cars, entering his first National Sprint Card Series race at the age of 17 in 2004.

Stenhouse was still a teenager when he was invited by Tony Stewart to drive the team’s USAC National Sprint and Midget Cars. He took the checkered flag in just his second race, and would go on to earn 2007 Rookie of the Year honors. In 2009 he joined the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and collected another Rookie of the Year title in 2010.

Stenhouse has yet to see Victory Lane in Sprint Cup competition, but racing fans will tell you it’s only a matter of time. Will it be at the legendary Daytona 500? Or next month in Vegas? Or perhaps in April at the Food City 500?

It is sure to be an exciting season, and the vehicle maintenance solutions provided by Loctite are proud to be a part of the Fastenal team. Go Ricky!
